Traffic in Metro Manila has been the bane of this administration. Everydya in tri-media, traffic would be one of the topics. Upon one’s arrival at work, traffic would be the subject. A boss coming in would recite a litany of traffic woes on his way and from a meeting. Same with the office messenger who would smile sheepishly when asked what took so long.
The reasons range from the sheer volume of vehicles, limited roadspace, lack of public mass transport and lack of driving discipline. The result is traffic just the same. Any leader past, present or future would be presented with a combination of cleaning the Augean Stables and untying the Gordian Knot.
